RENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum age to rent a vehicle is 25 years.

  • Valid driver's license: Client and any additional drivers must present a valid driver's license from country of residence. Car rental company reserve the right to verify driver's license according to its rules and refuse to rent the vehicle if clients does not complying with these rules.

  • Valid credit card: Credit cards accepted includes: Visa, Master Card and American Express.

  • Required Loss Damage Waiver-($1500 Deductible)  

  • License Recovery Fee   $17.50

  • 12% Government Tax

DRIVING RECOMMENDATIONS

  • The use of seat belts is mandatory.

  • Always drive on the left.

  • For your safety and in compliance with the law, children 10 years and younger are not allowed to ride in the front seat of the vehicle.

  • During the rainy season, be wary of the slippery roads.

  • Be cautious of pedestrians on roads and streets.

  • It is very easy to get stuck in the sand or on the beaches, please remain on the road at all times.

  • Always handle with caution and pay close attention to the corners and signs on your journey.

FEES

INFORMATION AND RESERVATIONS

  • Taxes: All charges are subject to a 12% tax.

  • Additional charges apply only if:

    • Fuel: If the vehicle is returned without the same level of fuel as received.

    • Fees: The fee includes the rental car for a specified period (day, week or month) and unlimited mileage. The minimum charge per rental is one day (24 hours from the time of receiving the vehicle), regardless if the client uses the car for just a part of that time. Rental days are considered for periods of 24 hours or fraction exceeding 4 hours. The rental fee does not include the payment of fines, violations, gas, unauthorized drop off at another location (Drop off), or any other charge to the customer.

    • Return of Vehicle: The venue, date and time agreed to return the vehicle may not be modified without prior written authorization from the rental company. In case of breach of this provision by the client; additional charges will apply.

    • Additional driver: The client may appoint an additional driver over the age of 25 with a valid driver's license. The additional driver will be subject to all obligations as the client in handling the vehicle and is also jointly liable in regard to liability for damages to third parties or to the rented vehicle.

    The Turks & Caicos is an overseas territory of the United Kingdom, and our head of state is the Queen of England, Elizabeth II. The Queen has the power to legislate and instruct the governor. The governor is appointed by the Queen to be her representative here on the island to ensure good governance within the territory. Elections are held every four years. The political parties in the TCI are the People’s Democratic Movement (PDM), People’s Progressive Party (PPP), and Progressive National Party (PNP). The islands are made up of two groups of islands: The Turks Islands & the Caicos Islands. The Turks Islands are Grand Turk and Salt Cay. The Caicos Islands are: South Caicos, East Caicos, Middle Caicos, North Caicos, West Caicos, Providenciales, Pine Cay, Parrot Cay, Ambergis Cay. These two groups of islands are separated by the Turks Island Passage, which is a water channel that is 22 miles long and over 8000 feet deep.

  • BEACHES
    Grace Bay – Providenciales Grace Bay beach can be described as the jewel of the Caribbean with its stunning natural features, along with the opportunity to have a luxurious or laid-back vacation while visiting this tropical island. This beach was named the world’s leading beach for several years at the World Travel Awards and by Trip Advisor. Long Bay Beach – Providenciales Located on the southeastern side of Providenciales Long Bay Beach is known for its calm shallow, breath-taking turquoise waters. The water is about 2-4 feet in depths and leads far out into the distance. This beach is perfect for kiteboarding because of the northeast trade winds, depth and wind strength. As you step into the shallow water and look out on the horizon you will notice a grounded wreck of the freighter ship “La Famile Express” which was washed onto the shallow Caicos Banks during Hurricane Frances in 2004. This site has become a popular attraction for many visitors. Sapodilla Bay—Providenciales The water here is very shallow, calm and clear. Sapodilla Bay is recommended for families with smaller children because of how shallow the water is. This 10 mile stretch of beach with its white powdery sand is located off the south coast of Providenciales near the Chalk Sound area. Sapodilla bay is surrounded by coastal cliffs and is a part of the Chalk Sound National Park. Whitby Beach – North Caicos Whitby beach is one to the best beach on North Caicos. The beach stretch for miles with white powdery sand and clear water. One of the popular snorkeling spots are the caves of Three Mary Cays. The scenery at Whitby beach is beautiful and mostly secluded. Bambara Beach – Middle Caicos Gorgeous beach with pristine waters, absolute oasis! About 30 minutes ride by ferry from Providenciales, this beach is located on the Central North coast of Middle Caicos. The water here is calmer, clear, warmer and situated on an extensive shallow bay.

Import duties, stamp duty on land transaction, work permits, and residency fees are some of the major sources of government revenue. The Turks & Caicos exports fish, lobster and conch. The official language of the Turks & Caicos is English. However, there are other nationalities with their spoken language like French, Spanish, Creole.
