What is a vacation rental?

Vacation rentals are privately owned fully furnished homes, estates and condos which provide travelers with an alternative to a typical hotel/resort setting for a vacation. Guests experience all the benefits of other lodging options with additional amenities and special additional services (additional costs) often including a concierge, as well as options for in-home massages, a personal chef to cook meals, pre-arrival grocery delivery services, child care, and more.

 

Is it like a timeshare? Is any ownership involved?  

Vacation rentals are not like timeshares, they do not involve any type of ownership by guests.

Why would I stay in a vacation rental versus other lodging options?

Many guests choose to stay in a vacation rental for a combination of reasons – value, location, privacy, amenities, and overall comfort and convenience.

How many people can stay in one vacation home?

Occupancy level cannot exceed what is posted on our website for each vacation rental.

If I have a question during my stay, do I have someone I can call for assistance?

All of our homes are professionally managed and comes with a designated property manager that guests can call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for questions, maintenance issues, and more. Information will be sent 14 days prior to arrival.

 

Is a daily housekeeping service available?

Most of our vacation rentals offer one (1) complimentary mid-week clean. A mid-week clean includes washing all sheets and towels, cleaning the bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen area, etc, vacuuming and dusting, sweeping and mopping, and refreshing your basic cleaning supplies and paper products. Daily housekeeping services can be requested, for an additional fee.

 

How do I make a reservation and what is required?

On our website, there are lists of properties to choose form. Once you have found the vacation home of your choice, you can request the property directly from our website. We will confirm availability within 24hours and reply with an email confirmation.  We require a 50% deposit to reserve which is applied to your rental cost. The remaining balance is processed 60 days prior to check-in and is non-refundable at that point.

 

Please note if the final payment falls on a Saturday, Sunday or a holiday it will be charged the last business day prior to your final payment date.

 

Guests are more than welcome to make payments with major credit cards, gift cards money orders or bank transfers.

 

Does the total include all taxes and fees?

Yes, the total includes taxes and fees.

 

Can I make payments towards my reservation?

Yes. After your initial 50% deposit, you can make payments up until 60 days before check-in, when the balance on your reservation is due. To make additional payments, please contact us at reservations@tcislandconcierge.com.

 

How will I receive my confirmation and arrival instructions?                                                            

All confirmation and arrival instructions will be sent via email, unless email is unavailable. To make certain you receive these emails, please adjust your spam filter to add the domain blumelon.com to your list of accepted email addresses. You will receive a reservation confirmation email within 24 hours of making your reservation.

 

Expect a second email with final confirmation after your final payment has been applied to the reservation, 60 days from arrival. Arrival instructions will be emailed to you 14 days prior to your arrival.

 

When is check-in and checkout time?

Check-in time is after 3 p.m for most of our properties. Each listed property will indicate the check-in time. Early check-in can be arranged based on availability only.

Checkout is at 11 a.m.

Upon request, a late check-out of 12 p.m. may be arranged based on availability only.

 

A property representative will personally meet you upon check out to review the property, receive the keys, and send you safely on your way.

 

Note: An additional fee may apply to secure a late check out.

 

Do you offer travel insurance?

No, but we highly recommend it.

 

What is your change/cancellation policy?

If you change your reservation, there is a $50 non-refundable fee. No changes can be made within 60 days of your arrival.

Cancellations must be confirmed in writing. The 50% rental reservation deposit is non-refundable and cancellations made within 60 days or less of arrival will result in loss of all monies. Any reservation that has been cancelled and reinstated is subject to a $75 reinstatement fee to be charged at time of reinstatement.

Is there a telephone at the vacation homes?

Yes, there is a telephone at every vacation property. Some have land lines, but most resort to cell phone which are great for use at the villa and when you’re out and about. The telephone number to the property will be provided upon arrival.

 

Are linens and towels provided?

Yes, there are linens and towels provided in each home.

 

Are the properties non-smoking?

Yes, all of our properties are non-smoking. Smoking is permitted outside of the property only.

 

What if I want to pre-stock my vacation home rental with food and snacks?

Many properties offer guests the ability to pre-order groceries to be delivered prior to their arrival. Please contact us at info@tcislandconcierge.com for further assistance.
